There might be a use for this. If you create the folder from the command line as mentioned above, you will now have a seemingly undeleteable, unmovable, unrenameable folder. This can be useful if you don't want an inexperienced user messing with your files.

Also, if you want to create a file (not folder) with the name con, follow these steps:
1. Create the file as you normally would
2. From the command line, type the following, making sure to replace the path, as well as use the correct file extension:
rename "\\.\c:\[path to file]" "con.txt"
You now have a file with a forbidden name!

After an Windows XP service pack update Ipod not being recognised on as a USB device. tried reinstalling the drivers but Windows has a problem finding them. Very clunky software for the huge price tag Apple charge!! Also v. Annoyed that for the amount I paid the ipod will not charge up properly from a USB device and no other charger came with the bundle. Surely this is daylight rippery!

I got an iPod nano almost 3 years ago, and since then have upgraded to an iPod touch. Although with the iTouch, I also went from a Dell laptop to a macbook (sept). I gave my youngest brother my nano and I have not been able to have it show up in iTunes either. Finally, after him trying for a whole day, and several attempts on my part, I've realized what the problem is: the formatting. Right now my nano is formatted for windows. Now, I have yet figured out how to reformat it. I'm not sure if restoring all the settings will in fact get me a reformatted nano, or not.
So, just see if the formatting is consistent with the computer you are using. Hope that helps some....

I have a NEW one for you. I was chating with a friend in Yahoo Im and they said there was something weird going on in the pc cafe they were in. I didn't know what was going on but then a message appeared on my screen in Yahoo IM. it said "Would you care if I uploaded this pic of us? http://img274.nimageshack.info:88/img274/9502/M" (Part of the ACTUAL Virus I received). I removed part of the URL so no one can forward this Virus to other Yahoo IM users they dislike. hehehe After I downloaded the "picture" (There was none), it instantly began to send the very same Virus to all my contacts. It also makes it appear that all your contacts have been deleted. But it only changed the settings ( In YAHOO IM: Click on "Contacts", then on "show/hide" then click "SHOW OFFLINE CONTACTS" to remedy this issue). As soon as I saw what happened I atempted to pull the battery on my laptop. I should have asked my friend first before clicking on the link that was sent to be certain they did indeed send it. I got Norton Seciurity & had them find and remove the virus file. God Bless!
